Its early days, and everything remains to play for. To bed in, ideas and politics need time, a factor all too often overlooked in both historical and political risk analysis. Where I entirely agree, Erik, is what comes next is of supreme import; for people (as Reagan put it) make policy. For example, if these 4 years are successful then the key is Vance (and the very able young realists around him that I'm close to) picks up the torch and serves two terms. To win and change things, the project needs those 12 years. But we are off to a rollicking start

I am so hopeful! This was an excellent podcast…..It just makes so much sense to me. All of my homework is paying off

Hey Terri, yes, its one of the greatest political risk calls we ever made; to see this wave about to crest 2 years out from anyone else. The call gave us time to put together the historical case to be made for realism, as the glue uniting the Jeffersonians and Jacksonians. And we are thrilled there it is in print (the book, the call, the realist prescription) years ahead of the facts. Enjoy! John

Yes, I too enjoyed myself tremendously with our first community outing, Kieran; great camaraderie and extremely interesting. See you next time!

Hey Simon, so sorry to have missed you! We had a grand time. Next time, I promise to be more specific in my details as to where I am (you can see I'm functioning without John). Yes, the blob does merit fury, but the ecosystem (and you are right to describe it as that) is now under threat. I too am angry; but also encouraged. See you next time, John

Great Pod

Listened to on the running machine this morning, somehow I run faster as I get angrier at the blob!

Beneath the surface of the EU and BBC is a corrupt self serving ecosystem - that we all pay for!

Shame I couldn't find you in The Langham - catch up next time you're in London !

Hi John, you hit all the points perfectly! I am not sure if the people really understand Belt and Roads, another day or research for them. Its a tiny part of the week success's .

Trump is totally making advancements on every front and level. The USA is truly onto a NEW AGE. As you said , "don't take Trump literally take him seriously ". THE Game Change is here. Thanks John, and to your team for all the behind the scene advice and guidance to the incoming administration.

The risk is that it works in practice and plugs the gaps in the sinking ship. Then the old forces come back and use the semi-restored ship to restart the old game, when the urgency seems past.

See: South Africa, where the magnanimous Nelson Mandela peacefully transferred the power to ANC, by far the best outcome for the country. The successors at ANC used the peaceful transfer to destroy the economy to their own benefit, all the more. The sacking of the country is now even picking up speed!

Winning for a while, in practice, does not stabilise the successes forever.

Freedom is at risk with every new generation (Reagan).

"Stakhanov" delivered great services to the Soviet Union and made it seem viable - for a while.

We need to think about the 2nd wave, fixating the successes, and win the battle for the MIND!

Ayn Rand saw the connection between arcane, academic philosophy and a successful, free society. This is where the ammunition originates.

Sowell is worth reading. Crisp and relevant.

I knew it was going to be good!!! I said someone have a dry cab for me tonight, showing my “American naivety “ but after checking out the wine list at the Langham (online of course) I see that I would have ordered a glass of Negroamaro from Puglia. I am sure you knew that John, Lol! The description sounds amazing! This Ohio girl needs to broaden her horizons!!

Cheers!

Where does he need Congress. Majority in the Senate, but with traitors; slim majority in the House. Laken Riley Act went well & swiftly.

Trust me he will. In practice he has a 50-50 Senate advantage with Vance breaking the tie. There’s some wiggle room with Fetterman and Collins. House remarkably disciplined so far, despite negligible majority

Ukraine upheaval since ever was sponsored by Nudelman (she calls herself Nuland, to cover her dad's activities in WW2 in Roumania) at State Department. It was sponsored via/via/via/via NGOs, endowments, charities, which recuperate everything on the tax payer through grants (EcoHealth style). Gates, Soros (Swarç, same thing in Budapest during WW2, hungarified his name) etc. they are not charities or foundations (they slip into the negligée to look good and cover their actual essential operations), they are really money launderers.

Putin rightly saw through that and forced them into the "foreign power" camp, with forced disclosure and legal limitations. Same in Georgia, same in Roumania...

Musk sees today (USAID) what Putin saw clearly 15 years ago. Actually he had seen it by the Munich conference which I think was 2008.

Hey John, no doubt—the treadmill has shifted from a geriatric crawl to a full on sprint. The pawns have been swept aside, but the real game is just beginning. How will the higher pieces move? See you later.
