Glad to hear you subtly touch on ethical realism here, John. Surely, rational, logical minds can get on board with it. It connects the cold, harsh truths of nature with the raw, unyielding love that defines the human condition. Real love isn’t naive; it doesn’t escape reality, it endures it. And decency is what holds it all together. Or maybe I’ve just had too many mountain views and a little too much fresh air lately!

Please keep playing the ball, but don’t admire the pass for too long, we have got to get on the end of the next one!

Kevin, the substack provider (Stripe I think it is) handles payments not the creators. However, know that when you dispute the charge I'll happily refund when asked

Once again, the Roosevelt and Kennedy Rules clarify all. And yes, Putin is a Realist! For lack of a better way to say it, is all this “nonsense “ a deep seated wound when we stopped being a Russian ally after WW2? And why did the tables turn, because Germany invaded Russia?

Thats it, Terri; the key to what we do is clarity. with all the 24/7 noise, a deep historical understanding (ie the Roosevelt and Kennedy Rules) make everything clear. As for Russia, I think its more a case of traditional (Tsarist) Russian strategic doctrine that matters as well. Depth is everything to Moscow and saved them from invasion from Sweden (Charles XII) France (Napoleon) and the Nazis (Hitler). Why give up an an historical strategy that has saved your people 3 times from gigantic invasions? I can tell you in the 2000s when I presented this very realist historical argument Wilsonians and neons rolled their eyes. They are not laughing now

Hey Dianne, thanks! I think Ethical is a bit like The Beatles White Album, some great tracks but sort of all over the place. Let me know your thoughts.

I shall...

Just found it in my massive book collection.

Oh I have it in front of me as I'm going onto your next podcast and in the introduction you quote Winston Churchill, "the price of greatness is responsibility"

We finally have adults at the adult table as you've stated, and I fully agree and we have leadership hopefully taking responsibility., John, thank you your vision into the future, you truly are a visionary! I always try to find things or flaws but so far you're hitting it out of the park. As an INTG its I'm my DNA

Best! and yes to a relaxing bath, good choice Sara, but no phones..

John, Indeed Time is fluid...I think you had it from day one. Yes we can be all over the place and question, but we center on a common realization.

Think of it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to go into a War that couldn’t be won, that never had to start, but a War that he, without the U.S. and “TRUMP,” will never be able to settle. The United States has spent $200 Billion Dollars more than Europe, and Europe’s money is guaranteed, while the United States will get nothing back. Why didn’t Sleepy Joe Biden demand Equalization, in that this War is far more important to Europe than it is to us — We have a big, beautiful Ocean as separation. On top of this, Zelenskyy admits that half of the money we sent him is “MISSING.” He refuses to have Elections, is very low in Ukrainian Polls, and the only thing he was good at was playing Biden “like a fiddle.” A Dictator without Elections, Zelenskyy better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left. In the meantime, we are successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only “TRUMP,” and the Trump Administration, can do. Biden never tried, Europe has failed to bring Peace, and Zelenskyy probably wants to keep the “gravy train” going. I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his Country is shattered, and MILLIONS have unnecessarily died – And so it continues…..
