It is to be hoped that if and when realists next come to power we do better, particularly in terms of discipline, constraint, and seeing off problems before they become septic. I keep thinking.... are we insane? It seems the political decision culture is "well, we don't have an economic crisis yet so we must be just fiine and still have a lot more money to spend!" There is no discipline and constraint. This seems eerily like the type of group think that preceeds every major crisis.
